Current News: 07-09-08 -- Okay, I blew it. I didn't get the 4th of July display up this year. I got all the projects done, but when it came time to connect everything up. Well, in all honesty, it was just too darn hot (as most of you know that live in the area. I hope everyone isn't too upset, please realize this is a hobby, and I have commitments that I must keep and things do come up. Couple that with the heat, equaled "No Show" for the forth. But, the good news. I have started the music selection for the Christmas Show. Next will be the layout and then programming. I am looking to bring back about 3 or 4 songs from last year, and I will hopefully program an additional 3 to 6. Last year, things really got rolling once I got the display up as far as programming. I will more than like add 1 or 2 song a week for the first two weeks of the show, then sit back and start talking with everyone that drives by. Keep an eye on the Light Show section of this website to get pre-views of some of the groups that I am looking at this year for the light show. You probably noticed I added a new domain name to the website. www.FarandaLight.com link will still work for the next few years, but officially the name of the site is www.DancingWithLights.com. Also, I am still looking for someone that could help with my website. I know it is probably kind of dull, common and generic. After all, I am just using a simple template to create everything. But, if you or someone you know is willing to help out with my website please let me know. I am looking for a new bold look that really will WOW people when then login. I am also would like to add a BLOG and possible a feature where I can chat with people that are online. In return, I could advertise on my website your business or at least give you a WHOLE bunch of credit. SPONSORS!! I am looking for sponsors. Sponsors are people that run business that would like to donate ANYTHING to this website or the display. I prefer not to accept cash or checks from Sponsors. Many people last year sent money to me with a thanks. I thank all of you for that, and I neither encourage or discourage it. But Sponsors can help out by providing services that I could us or the donation of lights, controllers, extension cords, help with my website, etc. Again, in return I can provide information about your business or website on my website in return. Donations: This year I am going to be collection donations. I am working on the logistics of it now. More than likely I will donate any funds collected to a Church or Charitable Organization. Last but not least, Halloween. People have been asking me about Halloween. Will there be a Halloween display. The answer to that is a defendant, maybe. Right now, Christmas in my main concern. If I get the Christmas show to the point where I can put together a Halloween show, then I will.
