FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Summing Up 2007How Long will the Show Last12-29-07 -- A lot of you have been asking, "How Much is this going to cost for Electricity". My answer has always been somewhere around $100. Well, today I got my electric bill for the majority of the Month of December, and it came to about $90 above baseline. Like I said, true at full power this display pulls over 9000 watts. But, everything isn't on all the time, and things are cycling, fading, shimmering, etc. The Christmas Article; what can I say but wow. I knew the it was going to be published, I only wished that it was done before Christmas. But, what a turn out I did have. I spent the majority of the time outside during the show Christmas evening. I talked to a lot of people and I enjoyed everyone's comments. Getting Ready for Next Year: What better time to think about Christmas 2008 but on December 26, 2007. I went to Target (a couple of them) and did pick up some extra lights for next year (about 3600). There was also quite a few lights I didn't use this year. For Christmas 2008, I am estimating at least 20,000 lights if not more for the Christmas 2008 show. Engineering for the show will start in the March/April time frame. Can't tell you everything that is going to happen next year, but the display should be bigger and better. (Hopefully) The last show for Christmas 2007 will be January 4th, 2008 @ 11pm. Christmas 2008 will start around November 24, 2008. I will send out an email once the date is finalized.
